Aite Sheffield heads its been a while. Thought I would resurface by informing you (in case you didn't already know) about Oscillate Wildly. Born and bred in Chelmsford, Essex its broadening its horizons and has chosen Sheffield as the next launch city. A night of forward thinking music who have previously booked artists such as Riva Starr, Rusko, Drop the Lime, Roska, Jack Beats & Tomb Crew. The list is huge and stretches wide across the electronic music spectrum.

Tonight they kick things off with the man in form atm James Blake. This guys stock is constantly on the rise and his latest offering Limit to your love is Zane Lowe's single of the week.

Oscillate Wildly kicks off at DQ from 10:30 and runs till 4. Entry is £3 before 11:30, £5 after. Drinks are cheap as chips and the music is good. Come down for a good time.

Here's some James Blake for ya:

Cartal....

after dabbling with some more techno / progressive sounds with Keatch (prime example here) it seems Felix has some electro left in him that needs output.

And here it is:

Nice and quick again. 2 tracks. Loud electro squeals and and bouncy fidget style. But ... heavy!

First up - MSTRKRFT return the remix favour - remember this?

I'll keep this short. This writer is in Turkey for the next 5 months. Down with the UK scene, up with the Turkish.

Here's a cross cultural banger from Trouble & Squeak; Uskudara Gider'Iken fused with UK Grime and jungleshufflestep (?!) drum patterns.

Download in the box.

DJ Fresh. DnB Pioneer. New album Kryptonite came out a few weeks ago and I managed to get my hands on a copy.

Not gonna lie, it's got some pretty poppy songs - vocal led Golddust and and Lassitude will be popular with radio play but are not his best work. Heavyweight is on there (does what it says on the tin) and a couple of solid dubstep tracks. The bassline on Fight is rude. Talkbox is also a banging intro track. The whole thing is definitely worth a look.

However... the best thing about the release from me was the free track Fresh gave out via Drum and Bass Arena to promote it - Factory. A slice of energetic and refreshing dnb.

DJ Fresh - Factory (320)

A new Camo & Krooked remix coming up soon too. Don't sleep
