Yo.
Italy just came crashing out of the World Cup. Defeated by Slovakia?! Today is the day of the underdog. Here are a duo who are probably under your radar - Faction and Modified Motion. A 'special partnership' between the USA and UK if you will.

2 tracks from Overscore, with plenty of late night ambience and emotion floating about in them. The bass is low so ya might want to turn on your sub. First up we have some mellowed-out old school hip hopstrumental flavour in Antique Memories. Moon Zoot does exactly what it says on the tin - future garage goes to space.
Ideal soundtrack to your cigarette (or anything else you might like to smoke)

You Got It?

Shad. Canadian rapper (read 'social poet') extraodinaire. No.3 on my favourite hip hop artists list. His third album TSOL (true sounds of liberty) just dropped.
... it's insane. Debut single from it 'Yaa I Get It' is no questions my track of the year so far. The production has been handled by various studioheads but is far more polished than his debut full-length When This Is Over, definitely stepping in the right direction. On that disc, he showed massive promise but suffered overall from slightly lacklustre production ('Question Marks / 'Wild').
Go buy it, you will not be disappointed. Itunes

The sun is creeping out and here's the soundtrack. Our man tintin has done a booming mix for the Parklife competition. Chockablock with 2step, tropical vibes and bass. Get it playing.

Dizzee Rascal's new tune is a disco flashback.
Prediction - will be huge. More importantly, veteran legend DJ Derek is in the video!
